Hello, I’m Richard…
I am a UK based theatre director who has worked throughout the UK and internationally.
I trained as an actor at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where I quickly developed an interest for directing which allowed me to incorporate my acting training whilst thinking outside of the boundaries of just one character. I have now been working professionally for over ten years and during this time my portfolio consists of plays, musicals and operas – both new and established – in subsidised and commercial sectors.
I am currently Associate Director on Back To The Future The Musical, which transfers to the West End after a successful opening in Manchester until the Coronavirus ended the run prematurely. I’m incredibly excited for a wider audience to see this show, which I have helped develop with the entire team for nearly three years.
Whilst I had to postpone several projects due to the pandemic, including a world premiere of an American play and the British premiere of a musical, I’ve used my time in lockdown to lay the groundwork for several additional exciting projects. If you’d like to hear more about the shows I am developing, or if you are interested in investing in any of these exciting projects, please get in touch.
